40 inspiring bible verses to bless your home with

August 20, 2023

Want to pray over your home, family, and all who enter?

Building a home is a wonderful blessing many people do not have the opportunity to experience.

You probably want to commemorate your gratitude and fill your home with love.

Many people, our family included, like to write bible verses on the studs and DOORPOSTS to bless the building, the home, and the people within. (Deut. 6:4-9)

Here are some verses and ideas for praying blessings over your home.

One client of ours even buried a bible, here’s what she wrote:

Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭24‬-‭25‬

Buried at the doorpost of our home is a Bible that has been carried by Annie’s dad to preach the Gospel – that Jesus is alive, he is King and His kingdom shall have no end. A gift from Steve to Ronnie many years ago, this Bible now upholds the foundation of our home.

A prayer: God, May this home always be a place a peace and refuge. May anyone who enters encounter Your grace. And may this home stand up to the winds and rain for generations. SELAH
